In 2024, The Ark Foundation celebrates its 20th anniversary.
To mark this special year, The Ark wants to highlight the companies that are organizing open days in 2024. The idea is to enable a wide audience to discover the innovation that hides in some of our canton's factories and offices.
Come and discover the key players in innovation in Valais through a number of open days organized throughout the canton.

Zollinger Bio – Saturday, July 13 2024
In the middle of the Alps, the Zollinger company produces seeds of vegetables, flowers, herbs, green manure and cereals, as well as gardening accessories and natural cosmetics under the ZiZAN!A brand.
During the Zollinger open day, guided tours of the farm will be offered in German and French throughout the day. Visitors will also have the pleasure of discovering the many partner stands, offering products related to ecology and/or sustainability. On-site catering will also be available!

Avogen Tech, Ceidos, CordSavings and Swiss Biotech Center – Friday 26 July 2024
Avogen Tech is a start-up whose mission is to develop a new generation of electronic cigarettes.
Ceidos have developed the C-Netics to fully automate the control of cell expansion in a closed system. This delivers better results and reduces process costs by avoiding contamination risks and greatly reducing manual handling.
CordSavings is an independent Swiss biobank specializing in the collection, isolation and preservation of stem cells from blood and umbilical cord tissue. Registered with the FOPH (Federal Office of Public Health) and accredited by Swissmedic, CordSavings complies with the highest quality standards.

MINTworld – Saturday, March 23, 2024
MINTworld is a platform dedicated to learning and discovery in the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (MINT). Accessible to all, this initiative aims to inspire and provide educational opportunities for all ages, from children to adults, to foster innovation, growth and sustainable development.
The canton of Valais, BioArk Visp AG and Lonza have joined forces in a public-private partnership to promote science and technology in the community.
To celebrate its 1st anniversary, MINTworld opens its doors from 9am to 4pm.
Travelise - Friday April 19, 2024
Discover Travelise, Switzerland's first surprise travel agency. Travelers discover their destination on the day of departure, and let themselves be surprised in Switzerland and Europe. Ideal for company excursions and seminars!
The event takes place on Friday, April 19, from 11 a.m. to 12.30 p.m., at Place du Midi 50, Sion.

BLOOM Operational Center – Friday April 26, 2024
Visit BLOOM (storage and logistics) and the brand-new R&D laboratory. Friday, April 26 from 9am to 9pm, at the Ecoparc de Daval A3 in Sierre.
- 9am: Opening to the public
- 9am-5pm: Guided presentation of the ISO 22716-certified R&D laboratory space, perfect for local start-ups or SMEs wishing to launch new products in the cosmetics and natural products sector.

Plein R – Thursday June 20, 2024
Spirulina journey with a visit to Plein'R with Robin Dorsaz.
Robin Dorsaz, biologist and sports enthusiast, has combined his knowledge of sports science and biology with his agricultural heritage to create SPIRULINE-VALAIS, a spirulina production farm in Saxon, Valais. After discovering the benefits of spirulina and training with the Fédération des Spiruliniers de France, he established the business in 2018, with the support of the Agroscope research center.
Guided tours of the farm will be offered at several time slots throughout the day: 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm
Spirulina tastings and the opportunity to buy spirulina products.
