a workshop equipped for the most demanding parts

almec’s two main activities are the subcontracted machining of precision mechanical parts for the machinery industry, and machine overhauls, the pre-assembly of new units, and on-site maintenance. the workshop features a 400 m² facility equipped with several industrial machining centers and one of the largest cnc surface grinders in the canton of valais. all of this is complemented by predictive maintenance.

this equipment allows for the machining of parts weighing up to 2.5 metric tons, a capacity that opens the door to a variety of markets. almec produces prototypes as well as small and medium-sized production runs, with production lead times tailored to industrial requirements.

from design to assembly: a full-service offering

almec also has a technical design office specializing in project management. the idea: to design and then fully manufacture machines, managing the production of parts, their procurement, and their assembly. sixty percent of an item’s total cost is determined during the first third of the project—that is, during the design phase itself. by getting involved from the very start of the mechanical parts’ design, almec can offer its customers significant cost savings.
