Located in the heart of the Valais region, PhytoArk is a technology site dedicated to adding value to natural ingredients. As part of The Ark Foundation, it supports start-ups, SMEs and service companies in the cosmetics, food, nutrition-health and phyto-pharmaceutical sectors.

MINTworld is a platform dedicated to learning and discovery in the exciting fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (MINT). Accessible to all, this initiative aims to inspire and provide educational opportunities for all ages, from children to adults, to foster innovation, growth and sustainable development.

The canton of Valais, BioArk Visp AG and Lonza have joined forces in a public-private partnership to promote science and technology in the community. 

To celebrate its 1st anniversary, MINTworld opens its doors from 9am to 4pm.

Spirulina journey with a visit to Plein’R with Robin Dorsaz.

Robin Dorsaz, biologist and sports enthusiast, has combined his knowledge of sports science and biology with his agricultural heritage to create SPIRULINE-VALAIS, a spirulina production farm in Saxon, Valais. After discovering the benefits of spirulina and training with the Fédération des Spiruliniers de France, he established the business in 2018, with the support of the Agroscope research center.

Guided tours of the farm will be offered at several time slots throughout the day: 9:00 am, 10:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, 2:00 pm, 3:00 pm

Spirulina tastings and the opportunity to buy spirulina products.

In the middle of the Alps, the Zollinger company produces seeds of vegetables, flowers, herbs, green manure and cereals, as well as gardening accessories and natural cosmetics under the ZiZAN!A brand. 

During the Zollinger open day, guided tours of the farm will be offered in German and French throughout the day. Visitors will also have the pleasure of discovering the many partner stands, offering products related to ecology and/or sustainability. On-site catering will also be available!

Based in Nax for over 10 years, Ceres transforms medicinal plants into mother tinctures. Mother tinctures are hydroalcoholic extracts produced from medicinal plants. They are widely used in homeopathy and phytotherapy for disease prevention and treatment. These natural medicines are sold in pharmacies and drugstores.

On Saturday August 31, take this unique opportunity to go behind the scenes of the manufacturing process, from the fresh plant to the bottle.

Workshop 4.0 is an innovative company founded in 2020, specializing in the creation of bespoke objects and robotic events. The company distinguishes itself by integrating robotics into various services and products, fostering collaboration between humans and technology within Industry 4.0. The company’s mission is to democratize the use of robotics to create unique products.

During the day, robots will be in the spotlight.
