Braintec, one of the pioneers of digitalization in Valais

The braintec story began in 2000. The company had just one site in Brig and a team of five people, who provided IT support for a university and a distance learning college. The company opened a second site in Zurich in 2006, and in 2009 became one of the first IT consultancies in Europe to implement Odoo ERP management software (then called OpenERP).

In 2012, braintec opened an office in Madrid. Since then, the SME has gone from strength to strength, setting up offices in Germany, Austria and Poland. A corporate vision focused on creating added value for their customers has led to international recognition, including their election on four occasions as ‘Best Odoo Partner Europe’.

Two Valais CEOs and 85 employees

Philipp Fux and Silvan Wyden, originally from Valais, joined braintec as software engineers and invested countless hours in developing their skills and knowledge of Odoo. Eventually, they took over braintec as CEO in 2019. Today, the company relies on a team of 85 people, based in Valais and throughout Europe.

braintec offers a range of innovative Odoo-based solutions to large companies and SMEs. These include a module for digitising financial accounting. This includes VAT statements, electronic invoicing, QR invoices and Swiss Direct Debit. In human resources, a Swissdec-certified module is adapted to Swiss payroll accounting.

For companies in the services sector, braintec offers an end-to-end solution, including customer service offerings for case management. It also provides its customers with an SEO suite for optimum performance of websites and cloud hosting.

Deployments across Europe and beyond

To date, the Valais-based SME has successfully assisted more than 300 internationally renowned companies with their digital transformation. Today, its main markets are in Switzerland, Austria and Germany. braintec remains resolutely focused on the future, with the aim of continuing to grow and develop internationally.
